The purpose of the United Methodist Women (UMW) is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The monthly General Meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month; the meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. There is no General Meeting in July or August. The Mary E. Reid Circle meets in members’ homes at 10:00 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month.
