The goal of our program is to provide children with a safe and loving environment where fun, fellowship, and growth can take place. This is accomplished through a balance of active and quiet activities geared to the needs of the group and each individual child’s abilities.
Days and Time of Operation
The Parents’ Day Out Program is in session on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., September through May. We follow the Jefferson County Board of Education calendar for elementary public schools, including holidays, days for inclement weather, and teacher “in-service” days.
Our Director, Patty Hutzelman, is certified by the Cabinet for Human Resources to provide child care in a daily child-care facility.
The staff persons are carefully selected for their genuine attitude of concern and respect for children and are trained in First Aid, CPR, and receive additional training annually as required by the licensing organization.
Children will not be permitted to leave with anyone other than the person(s) indicated on the registration form.
Varied Creative Activities
The activities may include art, music, dramatic play, stories and books, science, block building, and tactile activities.
It is believed that prevention is the best form of discipline. No child shall ever be disciplined physically. “Time out” is utilized as a last resort.
Snacks / Lunch
Drinks and a snack are provided each day. Parents are responsible for providing a nutritious lunch for their child.
As required by the licensing regulations of the State of Kentucky, an up-to-date immunization certificate for each child must be kept on file at the church.
Fees / Daily Rates
There is a non-refundable $90 registration fee each year. Here are the daily rates for the 2019-2020 year:
$19 for one child or
$18 for the first sibling and
$17 for the second sibling
Monthly fees are payable for the month on the 1st of the month. Scholarships may be available through the church for those who have difficulty meeting the cost.
