Youth Ministry
The Fern Creek United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) incorporates youths in grades 6 – 12. The program offers a wide opportunity for spiritual growth. Our students engage in mission trips, bible study, and worship. We meet Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM for small group opportunities. On Wednesday nights we may play games, go out to eat, have devotions, engage in various prayer exercises, or any number of things. On Sundays we are normally engaged in a Bible study series. Throughout the year the youth plan numerous activities such as concerts, mission projects and social events like laser tag, roller skating, and visits to the park. Would you like to be a part of this exciting ministry? You could serve as a chaperone during youth events, pray for our ministry, or support our efforts in other ways. Children's Ministry
Children are an important part of the life and ministry of Fern Creek United Methodist Church. Just as Jesus received, accepted and blessed children, so we seek to do the same. Our ministry with children seeks to establish each child’s faith in a Christian community that is loving, caring, forgiving, and reconciling. We strive to help children dream, hope, and believe that with God’s help all things are possible and they can make a difference in this world. Because we feel that a child’s spiritual growth is a family responsibility as well as the church’s, we rely heavily on parent volunteers in all area of Children’s Ministries. Ways to get Involved: Children’s Worship… Children’s Worship is offered during the 10:30 service. We invite our pre-school and elementary aged children to attend the praise and worship portion of the service with their parents. After which, they will have an opportunity to participate in a service focused towards their age group. The children’s worship leaders will meet the children at the back of the Sanctuary and guide them to the designated room where they have the opportunity to share in Bible-based stories and activities with an emphasis on faith. Parents of children who attend are asked to pick them up from the designated room immediately following the close of the worship service. We also would like to encourage you to be a volunteer helper with Children’s Worship. Sunday School… All children are encouraged to participate in classes where our faith is shared through biblically-based stories and activities. Classes are available for all ages through fifth grade. Nursery… Child-care for infants and toddlers (through age 2) is available throughout the morning during Church School and worship hours and for some special events. Children’s Sermon… On most Sundays during the morning worship service, the children are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary for a message prepared specially for them. Beyond Sunday Mornings… Other children’s activities include the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Harvest Festival, and Vacation Bible School. Adult Ministry
Fern Creek United Methodist Church sponsors numerous avenues in which adult members may pursue their Christian growth as well as strengthen their daily walk with Christ. There are a number of Sunday School classes offering a variety of teaching styles, topics, and approaches to enrich personal faith. Through the Sunday School program you will form lasting personal connections. New classes are organized periodically. Pick up the informational brochure from the Welcome Center. Many special activities are planned by the church throughout the year to bring families together in a spirit of Christian fun and fellowship.

Quilters and Prayer Shawl Makers
Our Quilters and Prayer Shawl Ministry combines compassion for others and the love of crocheting/knitting and quilt making into a prayerful outreach ministry for Fern Creek United Methodist Church to those in our community who need the comfort of God’s love and healing.

Cardmakers
The cardmaker group meets one Saturday a month to share in the joy of creating handmade greeting cards and enjoy the fellowship of others who share in this hobby.
Music Ministry
Experience the beauty of music through our music ministry. Whether you're interested in singing, playing an instrument, or simply enjoying the melodies, there's a place for you to share your talents and worship together.
Scouting
Cub Scouts (Pack 56) Cub Scouting is offered to boys ages 7 (or completed kindergarten) through 11 years of age. They meet from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Thursday night when public school is in session. We have a growing Pack with approximately 25 active scout and 8 active leaders. Boy Scouts (Troop 56) Boy Scouts begins where Cub Scouting ends and goes through 17 years of age. The Troop meets every Tuesday night when public school is in session from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and plans one outdoor activity (CAMPING) once a month, plus six days at Summer Camp in June. We have an exceptional adult volunteer staff for Troop 56 with over 8 active adult leaders for approximately 23 active Scouts. The Troop is also enjoying a steady growth rate of about six Scouts per year. All Scouting leadership is trained in the Safe Sanctuaries® Policy of the United Methodist Church. United Women of Faith
The purpose of the United Women of Faith is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
United Methodist Men
The United Methodist Men (UMM) is a group for men of all ages and meets at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month for breakfast, inspiration, and fellowship. They perform untold numbers of hours of volunteer work around the church and provide financial support for many mission-minded activities in our community.
