Palm Sunday Worship Service and ways to participate at home

FCUMC Family,
Good morning to the FCUMC Family! I just want to let you know that I am praying for each of you daily!  I love you all and miss seeing you in person!
I just want to take a moment to share about a neat way that your family can participate as you watch and worship with us during the videotaped Palm/Passion Sunday Service on April 5.  As you know, we usually begin every Palm/Passion Sunday Service with a song and our children, parents, and Children’s Team coming down the aisle and up to the altar waving palm branches in recognition of Jesus Christ entering into Jerusalem as the King of Kings.
We want to continue this time of the kids and families being involved in the service by making homemade palms and having them ready for the kids to wave as you watch the service.  I am attaching a couple of pictures of the palms to give you a few ideas.  As you are making the palms, this would be a great time to read Matthew 21:1-11 and discuss with your family. It will be during the second song of the service, that we will be waving palm branches.
Also, here is another idea that has come from several different websites and FaceBook pages. You and/or your family could make a Palm Sunday wreath or door decoration to hang on your front door.  I have attached a few pics to this email to give you a few ideas.  If you don’t have any kind of palm branch, you can just use any green-leafed branch.
The first two attachments are the kids craft ideas.  The next four are ideas for door decorations.Again, these are great symbols to remind us that Jesus, the Kings of Kings, not only entered Jerusalem to go to the cross on our behalf, but that He is coming to live in our lives as our Lord, Savior and King.
May God bless you with His love, peace, comfort and strength today!
Remember:  Stay In, Stay Safe, Stay in the Word, Stay Strong, Stay Faithful!
In Christ,
